Post Secondary

Favour Modupe is a dedicated pre-medical student at the University of Winnipeg whose passion for healthcare, leadership, and service is guiding her toward a future career in medicine.

Aspiring to become a neurosurgeon, Favour is fascinated by the complexity of the human brain and the profound impact healthcare professionals can have on the lives of patients and families. She is committed to academic excellence while building the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to serve others with compassion and integrity.

Leadership and service have been central to Favour’s journey. Through student leadership roles, mentorship initiatives, and volunteer work with organizations supporting vulnerable populations, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to community well-being. Her experiences in healthcare, community service, and student mentorship have reinforced her belief that medicine is not only about science, but also about humanity, dignity, and connection.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Favour is passionate about helping fellow students succeed, particularly those pursuing careers in healthcare. She believes strongly in empowering others through mentorship, guidance, and education.

Through her resilience, compassion, and commitment to service, Favour embodies the trailblazing spirit of Nellie McClung and represents the next generation of healthcare leaders dedicated to creating positive change.

The Nellie McClung Foundation acknowledges with respect that we conduct our work on Treaty One Territory and in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We honour the Anishinaabeg, Anisininew (Oji-Cree), Ininiwak (Cree), Oceti Sakowin/Dakota Oyate, and Michif (Métis) Peoples as the original caretakers of this land. With gratitude and reciprocity, we recognize the songs, stories, teachings, and knowledge systems rooted here. The Treaties were entered into in good faith, as agreements to share, not surrender, the land. We are committed to upholding the spirit and intent of these agreements, and to building a future grounded in truth, equity, and meaningful collaboration.
