Lieutenant Governor Hosts Trailblazer Scholarship Ceremony

On Thursday, September 21 at Governor House , The Nellie McClung Foundation had the distinct honour of being hosted by the Honorable Anita Neville for the The Nellie McClung Foundation Trailblazer Scholarship Ceremony


These awards are for self-identified female students considering careers in the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), business or underrepresented trades. Careers in these areas offer excellent job opportunities, great earning potential and stimulating work environments.


A Visit To The Speaker’s Office


The evening began inside the Manitoba Legislative Building where scholarship recipients had the honour of meeting The Nellie McClung Foundation's Founder, the Honourable Myrna Driedger, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba.


Prior to the ceremony at Government House, The Honourable Myrna Driedger hosted a short Fireside Chat with the scholarship recipients inside the Speaker’s Office.

The Honourable Anita Neville, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba greeted scholarship recipients and guests as they arrived at Government House then later took her place on stage alongside Diane Sparrow, Board Chair of The Nellie McClung Foundation to award the scholarship certificates.
